Naike’s first introduction to acupuncture occurred at a regional hospital in her home town Moshi in Tanzania (East Africa), where a German physician used needles to speed up post-surgery recovery. After studying his manuscripts and becoming inspired to understand it and learn more, she traveled to the USA to study Classical Chinese Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York and the World Medicine Institute in Hawaii.
Naike’s fascination with Classical Chinese Medicine stems from its incredible ability to map our psycho-emotional journey onto the body and integrate it with our socio-environmental landscapes. She learned and apprenticed with Dr Jeffrey C Yuen, 88th generation Taoist Priest and 64th generation Taoist Master Dr. Chang Yi Hsiang to bring this knowledge to her treatments, combining acupuncture, herbs, cupping, moxa, tuina and sound therapy to address a wide variety of ailments including pain, injuries, emotional and hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, allergies and stress, while also helping patients boost immunity, energy levels, performance and general well-being.
Naike’s approach to health is embedded in recognizing the artistry and creativity in personal well-being. Outside the clinic you may find her anywhere and everywhere -running trails, rocking out on a number of instruments, communing with nature and inspiring people to live with passion and joy.
"NPWC helped me with a really bad lower back issue i was having. I worked with 2 different acupuncturists and they were both great, good listeners and thoughtful therapists. the office is in a very nice old house that is really comfortable and relaxing to be in. I looked forward to my treatments and they took my insurance too which was great. Definitely worth giving the center a try if you are having any issues."
